Overview Sheet Forming Disintigration Dispursing Freeness Testing

Freeness tester Schopper-Riegler SR1

Examination of the drainage behavior of paper fiber and groundwood pulp suspensions

The freeness tester SR1 delivers data to the paper industry concerning further processing of paper fibers in order to satisfy the paper and cardboard requirements of manufacturing, packaging and printing. The freeness tester Schopper-Riegler SR1 analyses the degree of fineness and condition of paper stocks following the sedimenting process Schopper-Riegler. The values obtained provide information on the drainage behavior of paper fibers and groundwood pulp suspensions.

The freeness tester corresponds in its design to the leaflet V/7/61 of the Association of Pulp and Paper Chemists and Engineers as well as the ISO 5267-1

Functional description
The HAAGE freeness tester works with a pneumatic cone lifting and lowering device. The compressed-air drive is very easy to use and ensures a smooth, shock-free test procedure. All parts in contact with water are made of stainless material. The ventilation of the cylinder takes place by means of silencers.

Technical parameters
Engine filtered compressed air
Compressed air connection PA-tubing 6 x 4 mm
